This wonderful and rare example of a round pole celt is was made from a bluish gray hardstone with a line of quartz running through it from front to back. It has great bit polish and is an exceptional example. It is approx 6 1/2 inches long.
This beautiful round pole celt was found in Portage County ohio by (name of finder will be given to buyer) while plowing the fields behind a team of horses between 1900 to the 1930s. I purchased the entire collection and there were a few museum quality examples. This is one. If you were ever to own just one round pole celt, this would be a good one to have.
