A2391 - Triangle shaped prehistoric nutting stone

This very rare type of prehistoric Nutting stone. Some people refer to these as hand held metates. They were used by prehistoric peoples to grind nuts and grain for food. This particular nutting stone has been shaped and worked into a triangle design with two dimples on both sides. The dimples were made by years of use. it is a very unique and well made hand held grinding stone. It measures approx 3 3/4 inches at its widest point and approx 1 1/2 inches tall. It is a beautifull wirey type of granite and would make a great addition to any Prehistoric relic or Native American display It has the finder and the Indiana county name written on the side. Buyer will see this when I ship it to them.
